Dear TechNet members,

You are invited to join us on Tuesday, 9 September, at 10am GMT+2, for the final webinar in our localisation series. Following a first event titled "What to consider for local vaccine manufacturing?", this webinar will focus on the issue of procuring immunisation supplies locally or regionally.

Initiating or scaling a local procurement of immunisation supplies requires a deep understanding of markets, demand and supply levers, legal frameworks, manufacturing processes, regulatory requirements, and supply chain oversight. Information on product specifications, vaccine availability, value for money, and market risks, etc. all serve as the basis for creating a procurement strategy. Decision making around whether to procure locally or regionally manufactured products is one aspect of the procurement plan.

During the event, you will be able to benefit from the experience of government partners from Eswatini and Indonesia, who will share their procurement considerations, decision-making process around the procurement channel, risks and benefits of the chosen options, as well as challenges faced and lessons learnt. Thanks to the Clinton Health Access Initiative's (CHAI) expertise, you will also hear more about the objectives and implicit considerations for procurement, the links between procurement policy and regional vaccine manufacturing and the potential future shifts that may affect procurement decision-making. Finally, a 15-minute-long Q&A session will allow you to ask any question you have on the topic.

Held on Zoom, the webinar will be in English and translated into Arabic, French and Russian.
To take part in it, you need to register here. Please, note that registration is compulsory and that, once registered, you will receive an e-mail confirmation with the link to the webinar.

Do not hesitate to share any question or concern you have on the subject in the VPPN e-discussion that is available for you. Our panellists and experts will be happy to answer you. You are also welcome to join the Vaccine Procurement Practitioners Network (VPPN) on TechNet, by clicking herescrolling down and selecting VPPN at the bottom of the page.

Please find below all relevant details on this webinar and the whole series.
We are looking forward to welcoming you during this event. In the meantime, you can always reach out to me, through the platform or by email at [email protected], for any request you might have.

Kind regards,

Dyuti
