Gay, bisexual and men, including trans men, who have sex with men (GBMSM) are at much greater risk of an HPV infection that leads to cancer or genital warts. GBMSM are unprotected by HPV vaccination programmes aimed only at girls. This webinar will explore key issues in the prevention of HPV-related cancer and diseases in GBMSM and why gender-neutral (universal) HPV vaccination for all young people is the best way of protecting everyone. The speakers will include: Dr Peter Greenhouse, Consultant in Sexual Health and Menopause - on why GBMSM are at higher risk of HPV infection Dr Janette Pow and Dr Carol Gray Brunton, Napier University, Edinburgh - on their recent systematic review of how GBMSM experience HPV and HPV vaccination Prof Joel Palefsky, University of California - on anal cancer screening Gurchaten Sandhu, ILGA World - on the perspectives of the GBMSM community This webinar is the third in a series this year on Men, Cancer and HPV run by GAMH and NOMAN is an Island: Race To End HPV. There will be six Men, Cancer and HPV webinars in total before the end of 2025. GAMH and NOMAN are delighted that this webinar is also being co-hosted by ILGA World, the International Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Trans and Intersex Association. The webinar will last 60 minutes.
