Register here Join us for the October 9th webinar that introduces a framework to help civil society organisations anticipate and navigate the multi-level system barriers they encounter when expanding their roles beyond traditional community engagement in immunisation programs. As Gavi increasingly partners with CSOs, these organisations are challenging existing norms within immunisation systems, encountering coordination barriers that extend far beyond the community level. We'll present a systems thinking approach—the 'onion framework'—to help CSOs identify the norms they're challenging at every level and plan the coordination needed for effective program delivery. This webinar will feature speakers from ZIP, Gavi's Humanitarian Immunisation Programme and its CSO implementing partners, the Cameroon Baptist Convention Health Services in Cameroon and the International Rescue Committee in Nigeria. Using ZIP's experience with catch-up vaccination, CSO partners will share their perspectives on addressing complex multi-level barriers. Contributing to Gavi’s 5.0 Strategy, ZIP Grantees deliver all scheduled vaccine doses to children from birth to age five in communities where conflict impedes government health services. Between January 2023 and June 2025, ZIP Grantees delivered 18 million vaccine doses and completed routine or catch-up vaccination for more than 1 million children across 11 African countries. Adapting immunisation delivery to uphold humanitarian principles, ZIP grantees have achieved vaccine coverage rates above national averages.
