Case Study – Improving Vaccine Stock Visibility through an electronic Logistics Management System (eLMIS) in Mozambique
This case study illustrates how a comprehensive strengthening initiative in Mozambique, focused on training, user-centered enhancements and data consolidation to significantly improve the use of the Sistema Electrónico de Logística de Vacinas (SELV or Electronic Vaccine Logistics System in English) system. The initiative led to more efficient vaccine stock management, enhanced reporting (health facility reporting from 65% to 92%), and better-informed planning across all levels of Mozambique’s immunization supply chain, ultimately reducing stockouts and improving vaccine availability.
