Putting Technicians First: Designing a Smarter Cold Chain System in Malawi
Cold chain systems maintain the potency and availability of vaccines, but in Malawi, persistent challenges with maintenance continue to hinder their performance. VillageReach partnered with the Ministry of Health to apply a Human-Centered Design approach, placing Cold Chain Technicians at the center of solutions. The result: a pathway that connects technician insights, data use and subnational decision-making to strengthen maintenance, mobilize resources and improve immunization outcomes.
