Immunization programs often encounter technical challenges when adopting current cold chain equipment (CCE) performance monitoring tools. WHO PQS is working towards solving these challenges by establishing a new way of monitoring equipment performance.

Equipment Monitoring Systems - or EMS - describes a suite of new WHO PQS CCE specifications with increasing levels of functionality and value for programs across the CCE lifecycle, enabling a more effective way of generating, recording, and communicating data to drive personnel action, thereby aiding in the improvement of vaccine safety and cold chain network performance.
