This brief provides guidance to buyers and Expanded Programme on Immunization decision-makers on the type of energy harvest control system that is most appropriate for their health facilities and energy needs.
An EHC is an optional technology that collects excess energy from a solar direct drive (SDD)–powered vaccine refrigerator or freezer (appliance) to power devices such as lights, fans, mobile phones, remote temperature monitoring devices, and select medical devices.
