PCV Evidence Base

To address the epidemiologic and diagnostic complexity of pneumococcal disease in particular, and to support our partners in their technical evaluations of pneumococcal disease and vaccines, we are also pleased to share a comprehensive accounting of the current evidence on PCV. The Evidence Base for Pneumococcal Conjugate Vaccines, available here, examines the available research in detail in six chapters, with accompanying key messages, chapter summaries, annotated bibliography tables and a full list of references. This “encyclopedia” of PCV was developed with support from Gavi, the Vaccine Alliance and with the collaboration of multiple international experts. The PCV Evidence Base will be reissued twice per year as new data becomes available.
