Updates to COVID-19 vaccination data reporting requirements
Recent changes to COVID-19 vaccine policies and programmes have changed how these programmes must be monitored. As a result, WHO has revised the content of the minimum set of COVID-19 vaccination-related data (the ‘minimum dataset’) requested for reporting to WHO by Member States, as well as the frequency of its reporting. This revision of the minimum dataset simplifies the indicators requested for reporting; it will enter into effect on 01 January 2024. Further, Member States are now requested to report the revised minimum dataset to WHO now on a quarterly basis, instead of monthly, through the end of Quarter 3 2024. From the end of Quarter 3 2024 onwards, Member States will be requested to report the revised minimum dataset to WHO on an annual basis, through the annual WHO / UNICEF JRF exercise.
