WASH in health care facilities - UNICEF Scoping Study in Eastern and Southern Africa
This report summarizes the findings of the study and consists of five main parts: 1. A literature review of the current global, organizational and regional frameworks for WinHCF programming; 2. A summary of regional WASH coverage in health care facilities based on the 2019 Joint Monitoring Programme global baseline findings; 3. An analysis of the enabling environment for WinHCF derived from an administered online survey; 4. Descriptive case studies of selected countries within the region; and 5. Strategic recommendations for advancing sustainable WinHCFs programming in the region.
