eLMIS Scale up Implementation Approach

Typical implementation activities include:

1.Defining/refining system requirements based on the scale-up scope

  1. Functional requirements such as inventory management, temperature monitoring etc.
  2. Non-functional requirements such as offline capability, mobile compatibility etc.
  3. Hardware and connectivity requirements such as tablet specifications, hosting server specifications, internet bandwidth requirements etc.

2.Recruitment and onboarding of PMU team members (where needed)

3.Procurement of infrastructure and services such as software, hardware, internet connectivity, cloud hosting, annual maintenance contracts etc., aligned with the timing for activities # 6 to # 8

4.Developing or customising and configuring the solution to match the requirements and localise it for the countries needs

5.User Acceptance Testing (UAT) of the solution before rollout

6.Pilot testing  the solution at limited scale

7.Training users as per phased deployment plan

8.Distributing hardware and activated internet connectivity devices as per phased deployment plan

9.System go live

10.Commence help desk support to users
