Integrating Rabies post exposure prophylaxis (PEP) in Gavi 6.0 - Presentation slides and Q&A report
This resource contains the presentation slides (in English), and the Q&A report of the webinar on Integrating Rabies post exposure prophylaxis (PEP) in Gavi 6.0.
Webinar description: As Gavi-eligible countries prepare their 6.0 applications, this webinar will explore how rabies post-exposure prophylaxis (PEP) can be integrated into national immunization strategies. The session will provide a concise overview of rabies burden and the life-saving value of PEP. The webinar will highlight that demand for rabies PEP may be relatively modest in many settings—particularly when targeted to high-risk populations—making it a feasible addition that does not crowd out other priority vaccines. It will also spotlight findings from Gavi’s learning agenda on community engagement and feasibility, demonstrating strong demand for rabies PEP alongside the need for context-specific delivery strategies to improve uptake.
