Report
Full Value of Vaccine Assessment: Group B Streptococcus Vaccine - Policy and Implementation Issues
Maternal immunization can play an important role in improving maternal, fetal and neonatal health and has the potential to be an important tool in the public health armamentarium, particularly in low- and middle-income countries (LMICs). This report summarizes the key considerations for the operationalization of maternal Group B Streptococcal (GBS) vaccination.
The report will contribute to describing the full public health value assessment of GBS vaccines. The report identifies several actions that merit consideration in preparing LMICs to strengthen their maternal immunization platforms for the introduction and scale-up of GBS vaccination.
