MCV Household Questionnaire: Quantitative Data Collection (Ethiopia)

This tool supports EPI teams in assessing the programmatic and economic impacts of switching measles-containing vaccine (MCV) vial presentations (e.g., 10-dose to 5-dose) by combining facility-level service delivery and supply chain costing with household-level data on caregiver access and out-of-pocket costs.

Country teams can use the tool to compare pre- and post-switch performance across coverage, wastage, cold chain use, staff time, transport, and outreach costs, while also capturing how the switch affects caregivers’ time, travel, and financial burden. The results can inform evidence-based decisions on MCV presentation choices, service delivery strategies, equity considerations, and broader immunization system optimization.
