Health workers are among the most trusted voices when it comes to vaccination decisions. However, their confidence and capacity can be challenged by time constraints, limited resources and the need for effective communication strategies.
To support health workers, an updated training package is available to enhance their skills in discussing vaccination with parents, caregivers and other community members.
This package includes the following key modules designed for peer-facilitated, interactive learning sessions:
- Conversations to Support Vaccine Uptake
- Managing Pain During Vaccine Administration
- Communicating on Vaccine Safety and Contraindications
Each module is grounded in evidence and best practices and can be adapted to suit local needs. Aside from the English version, French, Spanish, and Portuguese translations are also available.
Download the modules from the TechNet-21 Demand and Uptake resources page. (Refer to the last section on "Strengthening health worker skills in interacting with parents and caregivers").
