Join this webinar to find out the latest on the Ebola Bundibugyo virus outbreak: current trends, response efforts, operational priorities, clinical trials of therapeutics and vaccine candidates, and readiness measures.
Since May 2026, the outbreak of Ebola disease caused by Bundibugyo virus (BVD) has become the largest Ebola outbreak recorded in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, surpassing 10,000 confirmed cases. The outbreak has also spread beyond the DRC, with cases reported in Uganda, France, Kenya and Nigeria, underscoring the growing risk of cross-border transmission and the need for coordinated preparedness. While the outbreak remains a major public health challenge, important advances are being made, including the launch of clinical trials for therapeutics and vaccine candidates. This EPI-WIN webinar will provide the latest situation update, share response achievements and challenges and operational priorities, and highlight actions to strengthen readiness at global, regional and country levels.
