Dear colleagues,
We are delighted to invite you to a new TechNet webinar on Innovations in Passive Cold Chain Systems - Country experiences from Sierra Leone and Nigeria with the Eclipse Vaccine Carrier.
Countries across sub-Saharan Africa continue to make progress toward improving routine immunization (RI) coverage, yet significant operational challenges remain in delivering potent vaccines to underserved and hard-to-reach populations. Outreach immunization activities are routinely conducted in environments characterized by high ambient temperatures, difficult terrain, extended travel times, intermittent electricity, and limited infrastructure. These realities place considerable pressure on frontline health workers and on the cold chain systems they rely on.
Passive cold chain technologies - particularly vaccine carriers used during fixed-post, outreach, and mobile immunization sessions - remain critical components of national vaccine delivery systems. While traditional vaccine carriers have supported immunization efforts for decades, evolving operational realities increasingly demand innovations that improve portability, ease of use, temperature stability, durability, and overall workflow efficiency for frontline teams. The Eclipse Vaccine Carrier, developed by Gobi Technologies, represents one such next-generation passive cold chain solution.
This TechNet webinar brings together country implementers from Sierra Leone and Nigeria with the product developers to share real-world experiences of deploying the Eclipse carrier across diverse use cases — including routine immunization at health facilities and biological sample transportation for clinical research. The discussion will be framed around systems strengthening, implementation learning, and equitable immunization access.

Dear colleagues,
Join us for an introduction to the Gavi 6.0 Immunisation Supply Chain (iSC) Strategy and explore how it can be applied in practice to strengthen country planning and partner engagement.
This session will unpack what is new in the Gavi 6.0 iSC Strategy, how it fits within the broader Gavi 6.0 and health systems architecture, and how its differentiated approach enables more tailored, context-specific support based on country maturity.
Through practical examples, we will illustrate how the strategy can support prioritisation, decision-making, and more effective implementation across diverse country settings.
Who should attend?
Country government actors, implementers, UN and NGO technical assistance partners, and anyone else interested in learning more!
Date and time: Thursday 25 June, 2026 from 15:00-16:00 CEST

This webinar highlights how the Indigo Cold Chain Vaccine Carrier is expanding immunization access to zero-dose children. The first presentation, led by Global South Health Ventures, introduces the Indigo technology and explains how it maintains vaccine integrity for up to five days even in 43°C environments. The second presentation, led by eHealth Africa, shares on the ground experience and how the Indigo helped health workers reach and immunize more children. The event will conclude with an interactive FAQ session with the panelists.
This session will be delivered in English with French interpretation.
When: February 18th, 1pm UTC / 2pm CET (Geneva time)
