WHO guideline on the use of safety-engineered syringes for intramuscular, intradermal and subcutaneous injections in health-care settings
This document references safety syringes according to their ISO definition to provide an exact definition of the safety mechanism of each type of syringes and allow a common understanding between all guideline readers. The ISO definitions also provide guidance for procurers in determining the specifications and minimum standards for performance of safety engineered devices for selection of appropriate devices.
