Webinar
Dissemination for the targeted and selective strategies in measles and rubella vaccination campaigns: interim guidance
Background
The dissemination of the interim guidance is intended for national immunization programme managers, campaign decision-makers and global, regional and country-level policy-makers and partners responsible for the design, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of measles and rubella vaccination campaigns. The WHO interim guidance document is intended to be useful where programme decision-makers expect that a measles-containing or measles-rubella-containing vaccine (MCV/ MRCV) vaccination campaign may be needed in the next 1–2 years on the basis of estimates of immunity gaps. The guidance will also help decision-makers to consider approaches other than a nationwide, non-selective vaccination campaign targeting ages 9–59 months.
Objectives
The webinar session aims to orient immunization managers and stakeholders at country, regional and HQ levels on the interim guidance for targeted and selective strategies in measles and rubella vaccination campaigns. The webinar will facilitate a shared understanding of the WHO interim guidance, support decision-making processes in countries planning an MCV/MRCV campaign, and provide country and regional level perspectives on implementing targeted and selective strategies for measles and vaccination campaigns.
