Content | Factors that influence the decision to vaccinate, the spectrum of vaccine hesitancy, communication strategies, strategies to improve the vaccination experience, frequently asked questions and key messages about vaccines against influenza, human papilloma virus, and measles, and COVID-19, debunking false information and misconceptions about vaccines, how to communicate about adverse events, communicating with vaccine-hesitant colleagues. |
Expected outcomes | (a) More effective communication between health personnel and the general population. (b) Improved trust in vaccines and immunization programs by the population and health workers. |
Strengths | Comprehensive overview of the main concepts, messages and strategies for building confidence in vaccination amongst the community and amongst health workers. |
Contraints/Limitations | The guidelines are clear on concepts, messages and strategies but requires additional guidance on research methods for collecting and analysing information on vaccine hesitancy. |
