*DEADLINE TO APPLY IS OCTOBER 31, 2021*

Following last year's inaugural call for stories of operational change that illustrate resourcefulness, adaptability and resilience, this year's call seeks stories related to programs implemented during COVID-19 as well as efforts to return to routine immunization.

Given the current infodemic, we are particularly interested in sharing stories that address misinformation and strengthen vaccine acceptance and demand in communities.

APPLY TODAY

THE PROCESS

STEP 1:

A Bright Spot starts with an application, where you provide a brief outline of your immunization program, the primary actors involved and an overview of the outcomes. Applications can be submitted by anyone - from the sub-national EPI focal person to the partner funding the work. However, regardless of who submits the application, story submitters must agree to actively pull in crucial voices - teammates, local EPI staff, technical assistants - if their story is selected; this is an essential step in the process

STEP 2:

Once the application closes, the selection process commences, including rounds of review by a select Peer Committee, consisting of Boost Community members, immunization experts and Boost team members.

STEP 3:

Submitters of selected stories move forward to work with a seasoned storyteller, where they collectively refine, structure and format the final Bright Spot story. Previous Bright Spots have taken on the form of short-written stories and recorded podcasts. Depending on the final format(s), this process typically takes 2-3 months.

THE OPPORTUNITY

If your story is selected by a diverse panel of peers and experts, it will be showcased and shared within and beyond the Boost Community - a global network of more than 1,700 immunization professionals - and elevated to global stakeholders. Previous Bright Spots have been showcased as case studies and story contributors have been featured in Boost-hosted webinars reaching a global audience.
