Exploring Stakeholders' Perspectives of the Human Papillomavirus Vaccination Programme in Adamawa and Benue States of Nigeria

The HPV Vaccine Acceleration Program Partners Initiative (HAPPI), with the support of the National Primary Health Care Development Agency (NPHCDA) and the state’s primary health care boards, conducted a survey in Adamawa and Benue States. The purpose of the study was to expand on prior Nigeria HPV Programme (the programme) rapid assessments by including those who implement it (e.g., government health workers and subnational managers, teachers, and other community stakeholders), and the parents/caregivers of girls 9–14 years who are eligible for the HPV vaccine. Their perspectives complement documented learning and indicate how and how well HPV vaccination rollout in Phase 1 went (October 2023 – May 2024).
