How Health Centers are Advancing through COVID-19 & Beyond #ValueCHC

In 1965, the concept of a health center was proposed. Today, nearly 1,500 health centers with more than 13,000 service sites provide care to 28 million people across the United States. The centers have become an important source of community care for a range of patients, but their core mission is still to provide high-quality care regardless of income or insurance. Throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, dedicated health center staff continue to provide services to their communities, who are often disproportionately affected by the virus.

We are committed to helping our esteemed health center partners find sustainable payment models as they deliver ongoing services including family planning, chronic disease management, and behavioral health care. Alongside the National Association of Community Health Centers (NACHC), we shine a light on a sampling of the health centers that provide high-quality services, improve health outcomes, and narrow health disparities.
