Upcoming Opportunities from MIROW

Hello,

This email contains upcoming opportunities from AIRA's Modeling of Immunization Registry Operations Workgroup (MIROW).

Request for Volunteers to Develop an AIRA Data Quality Guide

The MIROW Steering Committee (SC) is looking for subject matter experts (SMEs) to volunteer for a short-term workgroup. The workgroup will create a Data Quality Assurance Guide that will repackage and update the two existing MIROW guides on data quality (Data Quality Assurance in IIS: Incoming Data and Data Quality Assurance in Immunization Information Systems: Selected Aspects) as well as the Lot Number Validation Best Practices Micro-Guide. As a volunteer, you will have the opportunity to work with a diverse group of SMEs in the IIS field to craft best practice recommendations for the entire IIS community.

In January 2021, the workgroup will do an intensive set of five half-day virtual meetings to develop best practices. In addition to the January virtual meetings, the workgroup will meet monthly for one-hour calls from December 2020 through August 2021. The workgroup will also review the draft guidance and provide feedback.

We are looking for SMEs with knowledge and experience working with IIS data quality. We are especially interested in SMEs with experience with the following topics:

  • Data quality during the onboarding process
  • Ongoing monitoring and evaluating of incoming data and data at rest
  • Facility identification management in the IIS

If you’re interested in being considered as a volunteer SME for this workgroup, please email Beth Parilla by the end of the day on Friday, October 30 with your name, organization, job title, email address, and a short paragraph describing your experience.

The MIROW SC will review all submissions and make final determinations by November 20. For more information about MIROW, please go to www.immregistries.org/mirow. If you have questions about this workgroup, email Beth Parilla.

MIROW Request for Proposals

AIRA is initiating a Request for Proposals (RFP) to solicit proposals from individuals and firms able to facilitate a series of virtual business requirements modeling meetings for MIROW on the topic of data quality in IIS. The virtual meetings will likely be between three and four hours in length on five separate days in mid-to-late January 2021. Required information is due at 5:00 p.m. ET on November 2, 2020. The full RFP is available here.

Thank you,
