As laboratories are ramping up testing for the SARS-CoV-2 virus, multiple test variants have emerged. Even though the most common remains throat swabs, some others require blood to be drawn and analyzed.
Whatever the type of test, the accuracy of the results depends on the integrity of the samples collected.
Do you know how to safely store and transport blood, urine, saliva, stool or lung tissue samples? This paper summarizes the temperature requirements mandated by WHO.

An Info Day was organized to explain the Ministry of Health the ins and outs of the cold chain equipment optimization project and B Medical Systems' solar vaccine refrigerators.
Thanks to our Remote Monitoring System, government officials are able to keep an eye on the real-time performance of all the solar fridges installed across the country from their national EPI office. Our data loggers, set on every single unit, not only track the temperatures and door openings, but also transmit alarms through SMS or email and show the exact location of each fridge on Google Maps.

We are back in Madagascar, in the district of Nosy Varika. The 30°C have not prevented our team from walking 80 km to deliver a solar medical fridge to the remote community of Angodongondona.
Thanks to this solar technology, children will receive safe and efficient vaccines stored at the WHO-required temperature range at all times. DYK that our TCW40SDD can maintain an unbroken cold chain for more than 3 days even when the sun doesn’t shine?
