  • Dear colleagues,

The WHO and TechNet are pleased to invite you to a webinar on the Dissemination for the targeted and selective strategies in measles and rubella vaccination campaigns: interim guidance.

    Background
The dissemination of the interim guidance is intended for national immunization programme managers, campaign decision-makers and global, regional and country-level policy-makers and partners responsible for the design, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of measles and rubella vaccination campaigns. The WHO interim guidance document is intended to be useful where programme decision-makers expect that a measles-containing or measles-rubella-containing vaccine (MCV/ MRCV) vaccination campaign may be needed in the next 1–2 years on the basis of estimates of immunity gaps. The guidance will also help decision-makers to consider approaches other than a nationwide, non-selective vaccination campaign targeting ages 9–59 months.

    Objectives
The webinar session aims to orient immunization managers and stakeholders at country, regional and HQ levels on the interim guidance for targeted and selective strategies in measles and rubella vaccination campaigns.
The webinar will facilitate a shared understanding of the WHO interim guidance, support decision-making processes in countries planning an MCV/MRCV campaign, and provide country and regional level perspectives on implementing targeted and selective strategies for measles and vaccination campaigns.

When: Wednesday 4 June, 13:00 CEST
    Registration: tn21.org/mr

A French interpretation will be available for this session.

  • Dear colleagues,

We are pleased to invite you to join the upcoming webinar on Validating the elimination of maternal and neonatal tetanus (MNT) in armed conflict and other access-constrained settings.

    Background:
Despite the significant progress made towards MNTE globally with 49 (83%) of 59 high burden countries achieving elimination as of Dec 2024, limitation of access to communities and populations that results from armed conflicts and other factors remains a major challenge to adequate implementation of MNTE activities especially, validation surveys. Geographic parts of most of the 10 countries that are yet to achieve MNTE globally, are affected by limitation in access due to armed conflicts and other security-compromising events.

    Objectives:
The webinar session aims to acquaint participants with the WHO recommended alternative methods for conducting MNTE validation surveys in armed conflict and other access-constrained settings.
The webinar session will provide participants, including MNTE stakeholders (MoH, WHO, UNICEF and other technical partners) at the different levels the knowledge, skill, and decision-making power on the alternative MNTE validation survey method to deploy based on their specific country context.

A French interpretation will be available for this session.

    Date: Wednesday, 14 May 2025
    Time: 12.30 p m – 14.00 pm CEST

  • Dear colleagues,

We are delighted to invite you to a new webinar on: Using digital technologies to enhance implementation of home-based records / personal health records for maternal, newborn and child health

Home-based records for maternal, newborn and child health, such as vaccination cards, antenatal care notes, and maternal and child health handbooks, are important tools to record the history of health services an individual has received and support communication between individuals and health workers. The use of digital technologies to enhance implementation of home-based records may provide opportunities for improved data access and accuracy and to continuity of care, though challenges like usability, equity, and system integration remain.

We invite you to join us in a webinar to explore the recently launched World Health Organization (WHO) Digital transformation handbook, learn from two country examples about their transitions from paper to digital home-based records and discuss challenges and lessons learned.

A French interpretation will be available.

  • Dear colleagues,

We are delighted to invite you to a new webinar in collaboration with JSI, hosted by TechNet.

Show me the data! Deep dive into understanding and optimizing vaccine wastage rates and resupply decisions
Lack of accurate consumption data, and true wastage data may be contributing to causes of children to be unvaccinated or under-vaccinated. Join us as JSI will share their results from the analysis of Mozambique’s routinely available HMIS and LMIS data available in two districts to identify strategies to optimize vaccine resupply decisions, calculate facility-specific wastage rates, and improve the accuracy of forecasts
